INDIAN PHILOSOPHER JERNAIL ANAND RECEIVES SENECA AWARD IN ITALY
The Academy of Philosophical Arts and Sciences, Bari, honoured Indian poet and philosopher Dr Jernail Singh Anand with its prestigious award Laudis Charta in recognition of his contribution to Education and World Literature. Dr Massimo Massa, Presideent of the Academy described Dr Anand’s work as phenomenal.
In his thanks giving address, Dr Anand remarked that India is a land of spirituality and both the countries enjoy great affinity in matters philosophic. Moreover, if Rome ruled the world of action, India was the centre of spiritual power which could be seen reflected even in its statesmen.
This event was attended by higher authorities of the Church and more than hundred members of rhe Academy were honoured. The intense ceremony which was conducted by Maria Teresa Infante and Laura Pavia went on for 5 hours, honouring great literary personages from countries like Romania, India, Italy-Senegal, France, Greece, and Spain etc Dr Anand presented his magnum opus Philosophia de Anand which comprises his ten works of philosophy to the Academy President.
Dr Jernail Singh Anand is a significant signature of World literature with 170 plus books of poetry, fiction, non-fiction, spirituality and philosophy to his credit. He was honoured with Charter of Morava award by Serbian Writers Association and his name was engraved on the Poets’ Rock. Dr Anand has been invited to Italy in November also for another important International Award. He is also poised to visit Belgrade where, as President of the International Academy of Ethics, he will make a presentation at the Matica SPRASKA on The Dialectics of Spirituality and the Ethical Imperative, organized Dr Dragan Stanic, President and Dr Maja Herman Sekulic, Vice President International Academy of Ethics.
